Snyder and son Great Lakes freighters Poster
William P. Snyder was named after the founder and president of the Shenango fleet. That freighter still sails, more than a century later, as the cement barge St. Marys Challenger. An even larger freighter was named after his son and successor, though that freighter went to the scrap heap.
