Spring Landscape By Thomas Doughty - Poster
Spring Landscape ca. 1853–56 is a painting by Thomas Doughty. This painting is part of a series typifying the seasons and was presumably painted in the last years of the artist’s life. It is one of his most ambitious pictures and the last one of importance. It is a wide-angled panoramic view and Doughty has made an effort to give variety to the broad expanse of countryside.
The farm, with people and animals in the sunlit middle distance, and the group of trees, shadowed below and brightly lit at the top, reveal a true gift for affectionate rendering of carefully observed minor detail. Although this artwork is digitally restored, the cracks and the fine lines are left intact on this painting to honour the time this painting emerged from.

I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame.
This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again.
One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up.
Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font.
Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
