St. Andrew the Apostle, Patron of Golfers 6 Cm Round Badge

St. Andrew the Apostle, Patron of Golfers 6 Cm Round Badge

Need help with your golf game? Place yourself under the patronage of St. Andrew the Apostle, patron saint of golfers! Here, St. Andrew (1st century) is clad in a yellow robe and green mantle with a pinkish lining. He shoulders a golf club with his left hand and steadies his golf bag on end at his side with his right. An X-shaped cross or saltire, the instrument of his martyrdom and most characteristic attribute, rises up behind him. + After his crucifixion at Patras in Greece, legend has it that the St. Andrew’s remains were dispersed “to the ends of the earth.” In the 4th century, some relics—one of the saint's teeth, three fingers of his right hand, an upper arm bone, and a kneecap--were brought by St Regulus, a monk or bishop, from Patras to a small town called Kilrymont on the northeast coast of Fife in Scotland. Kilrymont was subsequently renamed St. Andrews in the 9th century in honour of the saint at the formation of the Kingdom of Scotland. St. Andrews, dubbed "The Home of Golf", boasts one of the world’s oldest golf courses. Golf has been played there since the 15th century. + Saints_Aplenty’s St. Andrew is a remix of traditional Catholic devotional images from the designer’s private collection of religious ephemera with elements from public domain resources. + In addition to Scotland and golfers, St. Andrew the Apostle is also patron saint of fishermen, but that’s a story for a different product and another day! + Feast: November 30

Really great template to create the badge - easy to use, clear and plenty of options. I chose to add my own artwork, and this was pretty easy to do and make adjustments, too. Good value I think too. Especially if ordering a large number. I initially have had one made, to see the quality of the product and speed of service. I will soon be ordering over 100, as the quality was excellent - colours, sharpness, positioning of artwork - all spot-on. And my order arrived pretty quickly as well! I initially had one badge made, to see the quality of the product and speed of service. I will soon be ordering over 100, as the quality was excellent - colours, sharpness, positioning of artwork - all spot-on.

Really nice quality badge. It’s great to wear in public so I don’t need to explain my tics. The badge is a great size and made very well. The pin works well. Nice printing and clear to read.
