St. Hildegard was born in 1098. She became a Benedictine Abbess and active as a writer, composer, philosopher, mystic, visionary, and as a medical writer and practitioner during the High Middle Ages. Her works include three volumes of visionary theology; a variety of musical compositions, etc. She was given the title of Doctor of the Church because of her contributions to Theology. A friend told me about her and I researched her to learn more. Her quotes are fantastic and with such vision of the necessity to protect the Earth. Perfect for these totes. These are just some of her quotes, as she was a prolific writer.
