St. Joan of Arc (JM 28) Blank Square Greeting

St. Joan of Arc, the “Maid of Orleans”, is patron saint of women who serve in the armed forces. In this depiction, her military career is emphasised. St. Joan is clad in contemporary 15th-century plate armour and shoulders a sword in a scabbard ornamented with fleur di lis.
