True fact: back in the day, Washington’s birthday, February 22, was a national holiday (that would get you out of school for the day). In that same month was Lincoln’s birthday, February 12, was another national holiday, and another day out of school. There were different decorations one would put out for each holiday. The practice was ended in 1971 with the establishment of Presidents Day. (Considering how lousy so many of our presidents are, I don’t think they deserve a holiday. But that’s just me.) Moving on, what we have here is a beautiful image of George Washington at Valley Forge, an image that looks great on all kinds of EVERYTHING! Wanna see more old? Really nice image fixed to the tiles in my shower as a background to a soap dish. This was to hide the marks left by a broken soap dish. Just used tile adhesive and white grout. I think it looks good, almost like the drips are falling from the soap dish. No probs. Nice image.
