St. Teresa (of Jesus) of the Andes (1900-1920): Born in Chile. Discalced Carmelite mystic and the rst Chilean to be beatied or canonised. Devoted to Christ from a very young age, she entered the Discalced Carmelites at Los Andes, Chile in 1919 and died only one year later. A model for young people. (Painting from the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Kenosha, Wisconsin, U.S.A.) The background is a gold damask design.
