State Flag of Kentucky Satin Ribbon

This design features the state flag of Louisiana, a state in the Deep South region of the South Central United States. Louisiana is bordered by the state of Texas to the west, Arkansas to the north, Mississippi to the east and the Gulf of Mexico to the south. Some Louisiana urban environments have a multicultural and multilingual heritage, being strongly influenced by a mixture of 18th-century French, Italian, Haitian, Spanish, Native American, and African cultures. The flag of Louisiana features "pelican in her piety" (in other words, a mother pelican in her nest feeding her young with her own blood) on an azure background; the text of the state motto, "Union, Justice, Confidence", is also displayed. The flag was originally designed in 1912. The capital city of Louisiana is Baton Rouge, while the state's largest city is New Orleans. Other major cities in Louisiana include Shreveport, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Bossier City, Kenner, Monroe, Alexandria and Houma.
