A family enjoys a walk along the shore after sunset while dark clouds foretell a coming storm. Shown in silhouette, Mum and Dad walk along the shore beach-combing for shells, while the three children play in a nearby tide pool and shore birds dot the shore and sky. A few buildings can be seen in the distance. Dark colours of brown, blue, and purple dominate the painting with touches of pink, orange and gold from the sunset.
