Everything in this Day Of The Dead design was chosen to honour the tradition of the Mexican holiday. The sugar skull is not meant to be scary but rather to remember loved ones who have passed away. The diamond eyes of the skull symbolises the inner beauty of the departed. The cobweb is a symbol used for death, while the flowers represent life. Orange represents sunshine. Yellow is symbolic of Mexico and the Aztec marigold flower. The wide smile of the skull is for joyful memories. The butterflies on the flowers represent new life.
