The breed is watchful, energetic, fearless, alert, intelligent, friendly, eager to please, active, and steady, making a good herding and companion dog. The Swedish Vallhund is AKC's 156th dog breed. The Swedish Vallhund is also known as Vasgotaspets and Swedish Cattledog. The Swedish Vallhund comes naturally with no tail (bobtail), stub tail or full curl tail.
