Swiss Alps Cosy Book Nook Ceramic Knob

A Cosy Nook in the Alps. 📗🖋🎨🧵🐐🌲🏔 I have always been fascinated with meaningful details carved into wooden objects that tell a story or represent a culture with beautiful adornments. When I think cosy, I think of a window nook looking out to nature, complete with a comfortable blanket and pillow to rest on, surrounded by inspirational books, animal friends, and great lighting to create in. I wanted to create this cosy, moody space that overlooked the beautiful mountains of the Alps and feature the silly mountain goats who frolic there. I based the rocking chair's skeletal structure on a wooden chair from the 1800s. When drawing it, I did not have a plan for the pattern for the fabric or even the look of the chair, but when the mountain goats emerged into the arms of the chair I knew I had to dive into some mountain Scandi culture with the scandi-style rosemailing, and highlight the love of the iconicly beautiful peaks into the wood and in the fabric, and so the theme came to life. From meaningful embroidery projects, a joyful mug, an inspirational poster, and an adorable dala horse, to bring it all together, I hope this lovely space gives you all the cosy feels to help you get into the creative flow state.
