It was conceived and largely built by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, opening in 1973 after a long gestation that began with his competition-winning design in 1957. Contrary to its name, it houses multiple performance venues. It is among the busiest performing arts centres in the world, hosting over 1,500 performances each year attended by some 1.2 million people. In 2007, it was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the 20th century's most distinctive buildings and one of the most famous performing arts centres in the world.

Before purchasing, I contacted Naomi about the recommended size and layout. She recommended the single page so that the front cover will look right. She also recommended either the small or medium size. I purchased the medium size calendar, single page layout per month, and I love it! The photos are beautiful! I understand that the smaller size is 11" x 7" and I wanted something larger than that. The medium size measures 16.5" x 10.75". The images look great!
