Sympathy for Loss of Husband with Violets Card
A very pretty greeting card to express your sympathy with someone on the death of their husband. Wood or wild violets have many associations but William Shakespeare associated English violets with death and mourning, although they are often the first sign of spring's arrival in woodland so they also convey a message of hope and renewal. This clump of violets was painted by hand in watercolour by Judy Adamson and the background is striped with a very pale violet colour. The front cover greeting is, 'With Deepest Sympathy on the loss of your Husband' and the inside message is just a suggestion which you can easily personalise.
