T-TAIL T-Shirt

If there's anything worse than science nerds it's aeroplane nerds, and we outta know 'cause we're both. So, looking around at our fab inventory the other day, we were horrified to discover nary a product to offer the aviation enthusiast (as they are called in polite company). Enter: T-TAIL. The T-tail design revolutionised the aircraft industry. With rear control surfaces positioned above the fuselage, it was no longer necessary to mount engines under the wings, simplifying their construction and improving trailing vortex performance (note that large T-tail aircraft are one of the few types that have not been refitted with winglets). Mounting turbofans closer to the centre axis of the aircraft reduced yaw effects of thrust asymmetry, and with inlets both further from ground and shielded by the fuselage, there was decreased incidence of foreign object ingestion, particularly that of low-flying waterfowl whose well-documented fuselage envy has driven them to episodes of suicidal rage.
