Table Runner - Wedgewood Blue Damask

Original damask is actually a type of fabric which uses various weaving techniques and various threads to create alternating sheens resulting in a tone-on-tone design. In original damask, the pattern was actually woven into the fabric, making the fabric reversible. A more modern adaptation would be the fabrics created on Jacquard looms. These machined damasks were less expensive and succeeded in bringing this more affordable damask to the middle class. This design is a salute to that thousand-year-old art of damask weaving. The white flourish is a crisp contrast to the wedgwood-esque blue backdrop. This lovely table runner also features a coordinating crown border on either end, adding elegance and accentuating the lovely sky blue of the design background. It makes a beautiful addition to your home decor.
