Tall Ship Hermione Women's T-Shirt
In 1780 the Hermione, a 12-pounder Concorde class frigate, brought General Lafayette to America to aid the American patriots in their struggle against Great Britain. The ship was grounded and wrecked in 1793. A replica of the Hermione began its first transatlantic crossing in April 2015, making groundfall in Yorktown, Virginia, to commemorate Lafayette’s service and reaffirm the historic friendship between America and France. The image was created with pen and ink on Bristol vellum paper.
