An ink brush sketch of Tantallon Castle overlooking the Bass Rock by North Berwick in East Lothian, Scotland. The striking bright yellow hue is typical of the East Lothian landscape where grapeseed (Canola flowers) is a popular cash crop to farm. This also emphasises the lush natural green vegetation and clear blue sky of the brief but intensely fecund Scottish summer. The original is a quick, informal sketch done in an A6 sketchbook in the summer of 2023. The print also features the thumb print monogram of the artist, Renate Kriegler.
