Tea Towel - 'Kensington House'

Melbourne boasts many architectural gems from the elegant past. Whether driving through the city or the suburbs - there are often a good number of head-turning properties to enjoy. Years ago I was driving through Kensington on my way to the printers in West Melbourne and I noticed the house that features in my pen and ink drawing 'Kensington House'. I stopped and photographed the house to base my drawing on at a later stage. The house doesn't hold any special significance that I know of - it was simply that typical 'Australian look' that caught my eye. The 'lacework' on the verandahs on these buildings always adds a lovely charm and gives a challenge for the artist.
