Team James VII and James II Magnet
King James II of England was also King James VII of Scotland. His older brother Charles died without a legitimate son, so James got the throne. However he had already converted to Catholicism and was deeply unpopular, partly because of this. He was ultimately booted off his throne in favour of his daughter Mary and her husband William of Orange. He died in exile in France.
