This magnet celebrates Teanal Teagasg na Teanga, a Scottish Gaelic language and culture retreat to take place in Johnson City, Tennessee this June. The name Teanal Teagasg na Teanga means 'Language Teaching Gathering'. The symbol on the front, a triquetra (or, in Gàidhlig, a trì-cheàrnan, or 'three-corners'), has been a popular motif in Gaelic art since at least the middle ages. Although its symbolic meaning varies from context to context, in this case, it signifies the 'Three Cs' of Teanal Teagasg na Teanga: Cànan (language), Cultar (culture), and Coimhearsnachd (Community).
