Ten Thousand Colourful Galaxies Tie

A field of multicolored galaxies shown here from a collection of nearly 10,000 in the original photograph. The image contains galaxies of different ages, sizes, shapes and colours. Blue and green spiral galaxies are visible to the human eye, red, orange and golden galaxies glowing are infra-red dust covered galaxies invisible to the eye. There are classical spiral and elliptical galaxies and galaxies and nebulae that look like jewellery and bracelets. Taken by the Hubble Space Telescope in the Nasa Solar System collection and in the public domain. This tie only show a small part of the cosmos captured on film and the image can be uniquely customised by selecting a different set of galaxies.
