In the early days of their existence the Teutonic Knights aided Christians on their pilgrimages to the Holy Land and established hospitals to care for the sick and injured. But the Teutonic Knights are best known for their later role as a powerful military/political/religious order which ruled over the areas of East Prussia, Livonia and Estonia. Though originally Catholic, the Grand Master of the Teutonic Knights converted and become a Lutheran in the 16th century. Today it is said that Catholics, Lutherans and Reformed persons may all be found among the organisations descended from that of the Teutonic Knights of the Middle Ages.

It is a nice tshirt/design, however the image isn't an accurate display of its actual colour and its not exactly the quality I expected it would be. In the image it appears a nice grey white but I have just received it after waiting two weeks and its as white as A4 paper - which is fine but personally if I had of known I would have bought the dark grey. The printing turned out like I expected, it is a great design after all!
