    The Avalanche (by Gerolamo Induno) Magnet

    This design features a painting by the Italian artist Gerolamo Induno (1825–1890). It shows a group of families, including many people, escaping from an avalanche. There are many digging in the snow in the background. A carriage appears to have crashed off the side of a hill and caused some casualties. The children are doing their best to be strong and remain optimistic in the difficult situation. There is a large church building beside the snowy hill in the background. The original artwork was painted by Gerolamo Induno in 1886.
