The Bat Who Came To Breakfast Poster

My husband and I love to have our breakfast out on the deck. I sat down with my toast and coffee, sunglasses and a smile on my face. My husband slowly cranked open the deck umbrella and out fell a sleeping bat right on to my arm! The bat did not wake up. Then the bat slid onto the deck floor and still he did not wake up. It gave us a moment to study this little guy and admire how wonderfully bats are designed. We had to take a broom and gently nudge him to get him to fly to a safe place till darkness once again came to the north woods. Still he did not move. I swear I could hear him snore. Of course my husband said it was me screaming, but hey! I was a little surprised! At last the dear bat opened his eyes, spread his wings and soared off to a nice tree in the woods. It is now our practice to shake the umbrella gently before settling in for a nice summer breakfast.
