The Battle of Jazz Vintage Poster 1955 Jazz Concert Poster w/James Moody, Sonny Stitt & Yusef Lateef.
A very large, commanding and unusual cardboard window card from the 1950's advertising tickets for "The Battle of Jazz / Concert and Dance" featuring three greats: James Moody "vs." Sonny Stitt vs. Yusef Lateef. Extra added attractions included Terry Pollard, Eddie Jefferson and future saxophone great Joe Henderson, just 18 years old at the time. This is the way the jazz world works: pick one player, say Terry Pollard. In her career, Pollard played with John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Charlie Parker, Nat King Cole, Dinah Washington and Duke Ellington.
A great orange & black colour scheme and very unusual horizontal orientation. The show took place Saturday, March 19, 1955 in the upstairs Gold Room of the popular Detroit nightclub 20 Grand. Ticket information is listed in the bottom white margin.

I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame.
This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again.
One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up.
Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font.
Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
