Jose Carlos was a multi-talented artist who’s dazzling Art Deco illustrations graced the pages of Brazilian jazz and art periodicals during the 1920’s. His work was reminiscent of Aubrey Beardsley with a sharp modern edge and comic undertones. This delightful drawing “The Bee” was the October, 1926 cover for a popular magazine.
