The Cat (by Gwen John) Magnet
This design features a watercolor painting by Welsh artist Gwen John (born Gwendolen Mary John, 1876–1939), who worked in France for much of her career. It shows a cute tortoiseshell named Edgar Quinet, who also appears appears in most of John's cat drawings. The cat's name was taken from the address where John lived in 1904 when she first had the cat, which was 19 boulevard Edgar Quinet in Paris. When Edgar Quinet ran away in 1908, John was utterly devastated.
