"The End of the Song", also known as "Tristan & Isolde", c. 1902, is a painting by British artist Edmund Blair Leighton. It depicts a tragic tale, told in many variations since the 12th century, of the love between the Cornish knight Tristan and the Irish princess Isolde (Iseult). The story predates and is thought to have influenced the Arthurian story of Lancelot and Guinevere.
