The Flag of Ukraine Tissue Paper
Show your support for Ukraine with this tissue paper depicting the flag of Ukraine. The flag has two horizontal bands of yellow and blue. The colours represent the wide blue skies and the yellow represents the wheat fields that characterise the country. From a psychological point of view, blue symbolises calm, while yellow symbolises joy.
The current colour combination has its roots in the 12th-century flag of the Galicia–Volhynia kingdom. Officially, the flag was first used as a state flag in 1918 when it was officially adopted by the short-lived West Ukrainian People’s Republic and then used by the Ukrainian People’s Republic.
Like Russia, when Ukraine fell under the control of the Bolsheviks the national blue and yellow flag was outlawed. It was only until 1949 that the country adopted the Ukrainian SSR flag which remained the flag of state until 1991 when the country gained independence after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the yellow and blue flag was restored in 1992.
This tissue paper is a nice choice for wrapping gifts and packages honouring Ukraine.

The application of this decoupage paper was very simple , applied with PVA glue on a plywood surface. The colour stayed true to paper before application . I used cling film to apply over ply wood , no wrinkles , very pleased with the result.

I knew this would be stunning but it's even better than I expected! Really happy with my design and chuffed I picked this one.
Be prepared to wait though if you choose the slowest delivery, took 3 weeks to come, but arrived within stated timeframe. Perfect imagery, colour and print, so easy to use the offcuts for spare bits...I only planned on doing the two back panels of my tv unit but ended up doing three other gaps!
