Meike, Menno and Saphire, affectionately known as The Forest Boyz, are Friesian stallions that live free in a bachelor herd in the forests of the northern California coast. Nothing brings me more joy than giving these stallions the best life that I possibly can. It is rare to see stallions living together free in a natural setting. I love discovering who they are, and seeing their individual personalities emerge. I not only discovered there is nothing like the heart of a stallion, I found out there is nothing like being their friend. I never could have imagined their relationships with each other would be so deep and intimate. The Boyz inspire me every single day and my passion is to make art with them and offer a glimpse into their world. They truly are good medicine. They are owned and photographed by Laura Zugzda. My friend has a Friesian mare that she is showing in dressage and this calendar was a gift to her and she absolutely loves it and has it hanging where she sees it everyday in her kitchen. The printing was very well done. Colors are brilliant and the images are sharp and in focus when wanted.

Each page I turned elicited a gasp. How could one after the other be as beautiful as the previous pages? I've seen 100's, maybe 1000's of photos of friesians over the years and yours are by far the most spectacular! There is so much depth and perfect nuances coupled with the striking majesty of your boys. I feel like I could go on and on and at the same time am left speechless by the beauty of your work! The quality of the calendar is unlike any I've ever seen. The paper alone is thick and sturdy. I want to frame each and every photo!
