The Great Blue Hole of Belize meets the Mandelbrot Set fractal as an island sanctuary for divers, mermaids, and pirates. Merlife is the only life for me. This fractal painting was created for The Fractal Museum organization and was inspired by the visionary "Julia Island" by Alexis Monnerot-Dumaine and "The Mandelmap" by Bill Tavis. Thanks goes out, as well, to fellow fractalist Constance Leach who turned me on to the crosshatching method.
