The Great Race for the Western Stakes ~ 1870 ~ Vintage Political Cartoon. Cornelius Vanderbilt and James Fisk are shown in a race for control of New York's rails. Throughout 1868 and 1869, the two men had fought for control of the Erie Railroad. Here, Vanderbilt straddles his two railroads, the Hudson River and the New York Central, admonishing his competitor, "Now then Jim--No Jockeying You Know.!" The dwarflike Fisk, sitting astride the Erie Railroad, replies, "Let Em Rip Commodore--But Don't Stop to Water for You'll be Beat." This vintage fine art political cartoon print has been beautifully enhanced, tinted and restored to its former brilliance by the artists at The Vintage Factory. We have also added a complimentary border around the image which really makes it an eye catching work of art. We have many more beautiful vintage posters too.

I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame.
This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again.
One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up.
Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font.
Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
