The King and the Beggar Girl Jigsaw Puzzle

This design features a painting by the English artist Edmund Blair Leighton (1852–1922). It shows a King kneeling in a grand palace as he offers his crown to a poor beggar girl. The King is wearing a red robe with an elaborate gold pattern. The beggar girl is wearing simple clothes and her feet are bare. She is standing in front of the King's throne. The King himself is offering his crown to the girl. It evokes the classic rags-to-riches trope, showing that even a King can feel powerless in front of the natural beauty of a poor woman. The original title of the painting is "The King and the Beggar Maid", and it was painted by Edmund Blair Leighton in 1898.

My recipient loved this jigsaw, they found it a challenge at 1000 pieces, their only comment was the picture on the box was very small and made it tricky to follow as a guide. Printing as ever with Zazzle was great no issues.
