The Monarch of the Morning Poster

A Monarch Butterfly on a morning flight about to alight on a sprig of hemlock. This image was part of a rather large project, which included the modelling of a Monarch Butterfly. A mounted preserved specimen was bought off of eBay and photographed to make the image maps used for the wings. The model was also used for an image called "The Oracle of the Hours" which may be seen at my website.
