This design features a painting by Swiss artist Ferdinand Hodler (1853–1918). It shows the peak of a mountain in the Bernese Alps, Switzerland, called the Mönch (German for "monk"), which forms a highly recognisable group of mountains, along with the Eiger and the Jungfrau, that are visible from great distances. The Mönch mountain is over 13,000 feet tall. The German title of this painting is "Der Mönch mit Wolken". The original work was completed in 1911.
