"The Nutcracker" is a vintage collage drawn after themes from Tchaikovsky's wonderful 1892 ballet, which was based on Hoffman's original 1816 story. In the tale, Clara receives the help of Uncle Drosselmeyer, her godfather. The Nutcracker Prince fends off the Mouse King. Clara shows her love for the Prince dancing as the Sugar Plum Fairy.
