The Posh Pineapple - Skateboard

The pineapple has for some time been celebrated in the decorative arts - especially at the time when they were considered quite exotic and you'd need to be pretty posh and cashed up to afford one. In more recent times the pineapple has made a resurgence in home decor. I do love the geometric patterns and fountain of overflowing leaves - they cry out to the artist for attention. My 'Posh Pineapple' design celebrates the intricate design-work, varying facets and textures and the overall beauty and poshness of the pineapple - harkening back to the time when plant hunters were bringing back their exciting new treasures and exquisitely laid dining tables were graced with this glorious fruit.
