The Sun God (Solar God) was considered a great travelling teacher and master (as the sun travels across the sky) as well as "the Way, the Truth and the Light, the Redeemer, the Saviour, the Messiah". He performed miracles and was identified with both the Lion and the Lamb (Leo, Aries). He had his principal festival on what was later to become Easter, at which time he was resurrected (Spring Equinox).
