The Temptress c~ by French Painter Francois Martin-Kavel (1861 - 1931); was a portrait artist specialising in depicting delicate women's in genre scenes.
The Temptress is a portrait of a late 19th or early 20th century young lady posing semi nude in a sheer orange pink night gown, with her back to the painter sitting on a rustic leather couch as she leans against a large decorative green pillow.
