Thistlegorm Wreck T-Shirt
If you have ever dived in the world famous Thistlegorm wreck before, you are most likely to find that the image on this TShirt is not only a beautiful reminder of the wreck, but it is also a remarkably accurate sketch. The SS Thistlegorm was a British armed merchant navy ship, which was sunk on October 6th, 1941, by German bomber, near Ras Muhamed in the Red Sea, and serves as a very popular dive site ever since. The Thistlegorm was laden with military equipment of all kinds for the British troops in North Africa. She entered the calm zone alongside Sha'ab Ali, close to Suez canal. Shlomo Cohen, the artist who created the image featured on this TShirt, had spent long and numerous hours diving around the Thistlegorm throughout the years. At some point, his great acquaintance with the wreck allowed him to draw perhaps the most realistic sketch ever prepared for the Thistlegorm. Sceptical? The item was heavier than I thought, which is a good thing. A lot of t-shirts these days are made from low quality thin cotton which don't last. This is much thicker cotton that should last much longer. The print was centred perfectly. It is a good size and the colours are nice and vibrant. Exactly as the image shows.
