Three Fisher Girls (at Tynemouth, Northumberland) Jigsaw Puzzle

Three Fisher Girls (at Tynemouth, Northumberland) Jigsaw Puzzle

This design features a watercolor painting by the American artist Winslow Homer (1836–1910), who had lived for two years in the English coastal village of Cullercoats. It shows three young girls who are engaged in the traditional work of fishing along the rugged coastline. The girls are standing on a rocky shoreline, overlooking the crashing waves of the sea. They are dressed in simple, weather-worn clothing, which emphasises their connection with the natural environment. They are holding nets and baskets in their hands, ready to collect the fish, but for now they are chatting on the shore. By depicting these young girls in a rugged and demanding coastal setting, Homer emphasises their strength, resilience and connection to the sea. The women are from Tynemouth, which is a coastal town in the metropolitan borough of North Tyneside, in North East England; it was historically part of the county of Northumberland. The original art was painted by Winslow Homer in 1881.

My recipient loved this jigsaw, they found it a challenge at 1000 pieces, their only comment was the picture on the box was very small and made it tricky to follow as a guide. Printing as ever with Zazzle was great no issues.

This is the second puzzle I've created and ordered. The pieces are really high quality and the color for the pictures is excellent! I made a collage of over 50 pictures for my niece for Christmas and she loved it! Colors are perfect and vibrant.
