Part of a series of historic post cards culled from the Library Of Congress featuring New York City's historic Times Square. Here is a World War 2 era photo from 1943. It is taken from almost the same position as our colour 1941 photo. In it we see some servicemen getting a shine in front of the Strand Theatre. Like the '41 photo it is showing another of Hollywood star Humphrey Bogart's films. This time “Action In The North Atlantic” which is paired with a performance by Cab Calloway, hi de ho!
