Once Agrippina’s relationship with her son, the Emperor Nero, soured, she was subjected to numerous attempts on her life. Various authors state that Nero tried to poison his mother, crush her with a ceiling, and drown her in a collapsible boat. Ultimately, Nero was successful in having his mother removed from the world of the living, but she was not less powerful or fearsome from the world of the dead.
