Tokugawa Hollyhock (13 petals) Edo Key Ring
In the Tokugawa family, the number of stamens on the crest was not consistent at first. According to the "Gomon-hikaesho" submitted to the shogunate by Goto Soden-suke, the official clothing provider, during the Bunsei era (1818-1830), the first three shoguns, Ieyasu, Hidetada, and Iemitsu, used 33 stamens. Ietsuna used 19 and 23 stamens, Tsunayoshi used 23 and 27, and Ienobu used 31 and 35. (The original text is missing the information for Ietsugu.)
