Tournee du Chat Noir French Cabaret Poster Pen

A pen for fans of the famous Art Nouveau poster advertising the French cabaret venue Le Chat Noir. Opened in 1881 in Paris by Rodolphe Salis, the nightclub closed in 1897 but entered the hall of fame thanks to the painting of the black cat with magnificent whiskers and hypnotic yellow eyes. Created by Swiss-born French painter Theophile Alexandre Steinlen in 1896, the poster advertises the forthcoming tour to other cities by the Le Chat Noir cabaret artists. You can change the black background colour and red trim with the customise button.

Nicely made product, the plastic feels substantial and the matte finish works nicely with my design. Overall I'm very pleased with the quality. I recommend it as an addition to a personalized matching stationery set. Even though it's listed as a no grip, the texture on the design gives it traction when you write with it; a pleasant surprise. The printing is lovely, a little darker than expected and less sharp, but I love the texture with the printing which adds to its substantial feel without being heavy.
