Ad for Le Chat Noir Cafe, Paris, c.1896 Theophile Alexandre Steinlen (1859 – 1923) was a Swiss artist who became immersed in the avant-garde world of the Chat Noir Café after moving to Paris’ bohemian Montmartre section. In Paris, he created over 400 Art Nouveau illustrations, as well as advertisements and stylised nightclub posters, which often featured cats. This mug is very durable and feels smooth in my hand. I am picky about the handle on a mug and this one is excellent. It washes in the dishwasher with any problems and comes out clean and shiny. It has a most colorful print with so much clarity in the image. It all washes well in the dishwasher too.

I loved designing this mug using images stored on Zazzle. Was able to choose the font for the name and uplaod a background for behind the name, and a fabulous image of a black and white horse. It came out beautifully well and I was well pleased.
