Traditional Ethiopian Christmas Holiday Card

A typical Ethiopian Christmas card displaying an Ethiopian boy playing the traditional christmas game called Ye Gena Chewata. It is basically a field hockey game played for many centuries on Ethiopian Christmas day which falls on Januray 7th or near that date. The game has something to do with the birth of Christ. The first line of the Amharic text on the card says "Melkam Gena" which means "Merry Christmas" in Ethiopian language. The rest of the Amharic text is a chorus from a famous Ethiopian Christmas song.
