True Towel Tales No. 6 of 6 Jigsaw Puzzle

16” x 20” jigsaw puzzle with a vintage image of an ad run by Cannon Mills for their Cannon towels. This ad shows seven young, handsome GIs on a tropical shore. One is posing with a palm frond, three are having a bath in a buna bathtub, one is toweling off after his bath, and two are sitting on the boat encouraging the antics of the posing GI. The local natives are watching them have their fun. Cannon Towels ran these ads in WWII which were based on actual letters they received from the boys in the field about their products. The art was done by prolific artist James Bingham which shows off his excellent skills. The art is as such to tantalise the ad's audience, women, so what's better then a bunch of scantily clad soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen for all those lonely ladies back home?
