Circle Changed Bamboo Sasa Kasa Pillowcase

The Sasa crest/Sasa is a ritual tool to summon gods. Dancing with Sasa is believed to invoke the gods. The chant 'Sasa, Sasa' is called 'Sasagoe' (Sasa voice), which is a voice to call the gods. The Kasa represents a sign or symbol, indicating the presence of the gods. In the past, there was a group called 'Kasanuibe' who were tasked with making Kasa. They were considered sacred professionals as they created Kasa for the gods to reside in, and were closely associated with the Inbe clan, a clan of Shinto priests.
